"Taxi Brousse" - Anasi: Myths, Gods & Immortals
Now, this is one I am truly proud of. Once more, I am honoured to have been chosen to be a part of the Anansi: Myths, God's and Immortals series. Each book seeks to bring to life a legendary figure of folklore, combining - as Flame Tree Publishing often does - transcriptions of old tales along with new stories.
My story, "Taxi Brousse" is an exploration of the weight of responsibility that comes with fatherhood in a slightly trippy bush taxi journey where a reluctant father encounters more than what he bargained for.
The story speaks to the power of myths and legends to inspire and change us. How each tale takes us on a journey, and though the events of the journey didn't happen to us personally, we are still shaped by the reading.

"Project Grace" - Faithful AI: Stories of Hope from 2045
Can a machine have a soul?
Can a robot work miracles?
Can artificial intelligence bear the weight of our hopes, fears and deepest human needs?
Faithful AI explores these questions through stories and reflections on what the world might look like in the year 2045.
My story, "Project Grace", follows a disgruntled vicar, Paul, as he tries to find purpose in his shattered life. Spending most of his days officiating religious ceremonies online, he is called upon by two researchers who have run into a stumbling block whilst developing the frontier of AI. Every time the AI reaches a threshold of consciousness, it loses hope and self-destructs. Paul is tasked with giving the AI hope and religion.
Each story in the anthology includes an essay from experts in the field of AI and ethics, highlighting the key themes in the story and the intersection of faith and technology.
If you would like to read "Project Grace" and all the other wonderful stories, you can find Faithful AI: Stories of Hope from 2045 on Amazon using the link below.
Faithful AI also has a podcast where they interview each of the writers involved with this project. You can find it here.
